Summer Fun!! (June)

We have had a lot of fun being outside and enjoying the warmth this year...and trying different ways to play and survive the heat. This year I have planted a garden and have been spending a lot of time in the garden. We found this little pool to keep Paige entertained and cooled off while I worked. Its been really nice, and we have all enjoyed it. It keeps her entertained for hours!!!


We have also enjoyed playing with cousins. We've had a few visitors this summer but we were so busy playing, we didn't take to many pictures. One week in June Brycen, Hunter, and Brennon stayed with us while there mom went to girls camp. We really enjoyed having them here. We had a good time. One night while they were here we went swimming with all the cousins at the local pool. We came back to our house and had a "subway picnic" in the back yard. While they were here it was also Garets dads birthday, his parents anniversary, the anniversary of his death, and fathers Day. (All within 4 days of each other) It was a hard week. For their anniversary Garet and I went to the temple with his mom. It was nice to be in the temple with her and celebrate their marriage. They were a great example, having been married for 50 years. It was a special day in the temple. His dad was so excited for the Gila Valley temple to be built, I know he was there with us that day. For his birthday Renee, Joey, Garet and I took all the local grand-kids to Golden Coral. Golden Coral was one of Webb's favorite places to eat. Every year that we were in Thatcher for his birthday he would say, " Aren't you going to take me out to eat for my birthday?" and we would go to Golden Coral. So this year we went again. We decided that we would go every year on his birthday. Its neither Garets nor mine favorite place to eat but its a fun memory and will be a fun tradition.
