Rocky Point

Garet, Paige and I just got back from Mexico with my family. Every year we get to go down and spend time with the fam at the beach. Its always so much fun. Everyone was able to go this year with the exception of Jared who is on his mission and Spencer who had to stay home for school. We missed them both!! We pretty much do the same thing every year but its always nice to get away and be together. Sometimes when we go, the town can get quite crowded with all the tourist for Memorial weekend. But with the "horrible swine flu" and the crazy drug boarder problem, there weren't as many people there. It was nice. We were debating for a while whether or not we should go down there b/c of the "Bad Stuff" but after our research we decided it was fine to go down there. I am so glad we did b/c we had a blast. We weren't ready to come home after our 4 1/2 days there.
I wasn't exactly sure how Paige would do with the ocean. I figured she would like it b/c she LOVES water...and I knew she would like all the sand b/c she LOVES dirt. I was right, she loved the sand and had no fear of the water. I really had to watch her b/c she would just run down to the water and try to get in. I was afraid a wave would catch her. I am glad that she had a fun time though.

The only picture I could get of Paige looking at me. It was so hard to get her to look up and take a picture. She didn't want to stop playing.

Whats going to the beach without a little beach baseball?

Dinner at Aquis Con Flavio's- (not a taco stand but still good food)

Paige enjoying her ice cream after dinner

Can you tell she loves ice cream??

My two favorite beach bums!

Uncle Jordan, Kade and Paige- doesn't she look cute in the sunglasses?

Sunday activity- Kade and Piage coloring....by the way I love these markers. I think they are called wonder colors. They don't color on ANYTHING but the paper!!!

Recap of last year...isn't Paige so small?

Our family this year!!!

Garet's family is planing on going down to Rocky Point next month for his parents 5oth wedding anniversary. I am so excited to go again!!!

She makes me laugh!

I really don't have time to sit and make a post but I took these pictures of Paige last week and thought they were so funny! I can't look at these without laughing. She is such a funny girl. Like most kids her age she is into "big" shoes and loves to walk around in them. Its so funny. She also has been doing this funny smile. When we tell her to smile she says, "CHEESE" and then smiles so big she can't keep her eyes open.

Oh and one more thing I have to say about Paige.....Garet and I are so excited. Yesterday was her first Sunday (out of 4) to not cry and stay in nursery the entire time. She had a good time too. All week long we kept talking about nursery and how mom and dad were going to leave her and let her play with toys, with other kids, eat snacks and play with bubbles. I am not sure how much she really comprehended but when sacrament meeting was almost over she said,
" Mom go Nursery now?" of course it sounded more like, " Mom doe nursy now"
Hopefully this continues and this just wasn't a fluke thing. But were excited for the progress. We are going to be changing the nursery leaders around soon so that might be a problem. Well see!!

(I had to take 5 pictures here before I got her eyes open for this picture)

April update!

I really don't like making these post once a month. I have been having this trend lately. Things are starting to calm down so I hope it will make it easier for me to post. For the entire month of April our internet has been down. Hopefully we won't have it down again anytime soon. I have missed the internet world and have missed spying on all of your lives. This time I will try and do pictures and narrate our month that way. We all know pictures are much more fun then reading someones long catch up narrative.
Cabin fever/ conference weekend.
It was so much fun to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa before they went on their mission. They are now in Nauvoo. I will miss seeing them when I go home!
The gang..excluding me the photographer! (Paige, Garet, Grandma, Grandpa, Ron, Dustin, Hailee, Kylane)
Grandma and Paige. Paige wanted to go on a walk with her.

Paige playing in the dirt. She was in Heaven. Grandma said I did the same thing...and probably in the same spot when I came to the cabin at her age.

Paige and her little cousin Hailee. Aren't they cute!!

Easter
Easter weekend we went to SV. My mom and sister megan were gone but we still got to visit with everyone else. It was fun but I missed mom and megan being there. We had a really fun weekend though with lots of activities: egg dying, dinner @ Marlees, City easter egg hu
nt, baseball games, easter picnic, sisters night out, church, Easter dinner!!!
Paige got tons of eggs on the hunt. She was proud.

Our Easter picnic. We had to do it indoors b/c the weather was really bad outside!! Not your picnic weather.

Paige looked so cute in her Easter dress. Thanks for the dress Kylee.

Our family Easter picture. Growing up we always took Easter pictures here...couldn't break tradition!!

Disneyland
For 5 days Garet and I went to California with two of Garets siblings and their spouses. We all went to celebrate our "anniversaries". It was so much fun!!!! Thanks Laura, Johnny, Kenny and M'lee! I also have to thank my family in Sierra Vista. They watched Paige for us while we were gone. We couldn't have gone with out you!! I know Paige had fun b/c whenever she sees family pictures of them she gets excited! Here are our pics!!!

The only picture I got of Mickey

Our little group!

Thunder Mountain Railroad..not my favorite ride but still a fun one!!

When we weren't playing we were eating!! We had some good food while we were there. This was my favorite place...the Cheesecake factory!

I love this picture!! & I love the Bug Life 's Show! M'lee, Amanda and Laura...the girls!Garet REALLY wanted to go swimming and was sad nobody would go with him...it was WAY to cold!! The ocean was pretty though!

New Port Beach Temple

Disneyland was fun and has a fun exciting atmosphere but you can't beat the feeling you feel when you go on the temple grounds. The Temple was so pretty. I love the landsape. There were even litle rabbits jumping around EVERYWHERE!! You could really feel the spirit there. Next time I hope to be able to do a session there!

Family Update

Hello Hello!! So as most of you have noticed I have been away from blogging for a while. There really isn't a reason or a good excuse. I just have been plane busy!! We are alive and been doing good since Christmas. I can't believe it is already April....and Christmas was almost 4 months ago. Time is flying by. I just realized a couple days ago that we have been in Arizona now for almost a year. That's crazy!!! I haven't posted a blog in so long that I've forgotten what has happened in the past 4 months. I'll try and give you a quick update. If you don't want to read the whole thing I understand....just read the big letters and you'll get the idea!!! Here we go...I did do the 1/2 marathon in January. It was a blast!!! I was really scared before the run but I really had lots of fun. I would like to do another one but will have to wait awhile b/c the training is really time consuming. In February we got to go visit some of our friends from Texas...our family away from family. We all met up in Snowflake and had lots of fun. In March we got to visit with lots of family. First we went to Sierra Vista and then to Tucson with my mom, sister, brother and two of my nephews. We watched my brothers baseball games, went shopping, and took Paige and Kade to the zoo. It was so fun and the temperature was awesome!!!Then we came home to start our Goodman family visits! One of the benefits of living in your in-laws back yard is that whenever someone comes and visits Grandma...we get visitors also!!! First my two sister in laws came with their kids and a few extra kids whose parents couldn't come. All the cousins had a blast! Paige was sick that week but still managed to have a good time. Then the next week my other sister in law and her family came. Again Paige loved the attention! She thinks that when ever someone comes they are there to see her! Now we are up to current time...and guess what? We are no longer going to live in the "casita". We have upgraded and will be moving in the Big house.....Garets parents house. Sadly Garets grandma is getting old(95 years) and not able to live by herself anymore. Instead of having Grandma move in with his parents...his parents are nice and are moving down to live with Grandma. At the end of last week they had moved almost all of there stuff out. Garet, Paige and I haven't moved in quite yet but will soon. We have been busy painting. It has been fun getting that already. Painting is a lot of fun! I hope to start moving in tonight...we'll see!!
As we all know...conference was last weekend. I really enjoy this every 6 months...and sad when it is over. This time we got to go to the cabin for conference with grandma and grandpa Haymore, Dustin, Kylane, Haley and Uncle Ron. It was so fun. I am glad I got to spend that time with my grandparents before they leave on their mission to Nauvoo. They are amazing people and fun to be with. It was also nice to have Paige get to know them better.
*Pictures to come in the future. I have a lot of cute ones from the past events but can't get it to work at this time!!Sorry for those that just look at pictures!*

Finally a Post

Well sorry everyone. I have been really bad with blogging the last couple months. Its sad when you look at my last post and its of Halloween. This may be a long post. You can just skip past it if you may but I figured I would write down a few things about the last couple months for journal-ing purposes. We had a great time over the Holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Paige was more fun this year than last year with Christmas. She still hasn't grasped the whole concept but she was really excited about her Santa present so that made it fun. We spent Thanksgiving with Garets family here in Thatcher. All of his siblings were able to come. Christmas was spent in Sierra Vista with all my siblings, some Aunts and Uncles and my grandparents. We had a fun time with lots of gifts, family, and food! New Years was spent back in Thatcher with Garets family. During the holidays Paige and I also got to visit Grandma Lunts house in Duncan. We had a fun time reliving all my childhood memories of playing in the cottonseed, taking walks on the farm, playing in the hay, feeding the cows and going up and watching the be cows milk. It was lots of fun. Paige loved the animals and made funny faces when she saw them. After all the traveling and family visits, I think Paige was worn out. She loved playing with all the cousins.
Now that the Holidays are over I am having no problem staying bu
sy at home. I have a few projects I am working on and staying busy with Paige, oh and working one night a week. I have also been training for a 1/2 marathon. It still sounds crazy to me that I am going to do that. Its been a lot of fun though. The race is in 2 weeks. I am starting to get scared and trying not to talk myself out of it. I run hard 3x a week and do something light the other 3 days with resting on Sunday. I have tried to be consistent but that's always hard. So hopefully I do alright, and don't die. If I do it was nice knowing all of you!
Garet is keeping busy with work. He just enrolled us in a marriage institute class so HE can go play basketball in their little league and has now also started good ol church ball. He enjoys going to his neices and nephews basketball games. He even takes Paige by himself if I have to work and can't go with him. What a trouper!!!
At 14 months we finally got Paige into the Doctor for her 12 month check up. (now she is 15 months) and here are her stats:
Wt: 18.2 lbs 2%
Ht: 29.5 cm 34%
I always said I wanted a really fat chuby baby. Well Paige isn't that baby. And its actually been kinda fun having a small little girl.
Her favorite things are:
baby doll, baby stoller, purses, cell phone, her blanket (a new attachment in the last couple days. She wanted it when she was sick and now won't get out of bed in the morning or from naps without it!) her mom, making funny faces, pretending to cough, talking to herself and everyone else, ANYTHING outside. (yesterday she was following me to our house from Garets parents- not even 100 meters away, when I got home I realized she wasn't as closely behind me as I thought. Where did I find her you might ask? swimming/playing in the mud. It was all over. She was having a good time!)
New accomplishments:

-fold her arms and say amen when we pray
-listens to me when I tell her to do something and then ALWAYS cla
ps when she is done (example- taking something to the Garbage)
--words: Mommy, Daddy, shoe, amen, hi , dog ( i think thats it-am I a bad mom if I am not sure)

WEll I can't find my Camera so I can't upload any new pictures. Wish me luck on finding my camera. I have no idea where it is at. EEKS! Until then here are some pictures of the Holidays!

Paige and Santa; Don't let her face fool you here. She loved Santa and cried when her turn was over!

Sunday before Christmas. I bought Paige a new dress...I didn't know it until later, it was a dry clean only. Who does that for a 12 month old?

Paige and her stroller from Santa!

All the little Cousins with their matching Christmas PJ's

Paige playing in the cottonseed!

With the cousins at the dairy watching the cows get milked.

Paige and I "sledding" down the cottonseed- really fun, you should try it sometime!

With the cousins...going to feed the calves.

Paige "coloring" with her purse in the other hand :)

Our "Stinky Halloween"

It was fun this year having a little one. She didn't know what she was doing or anything about Halloween. She just new that she was cute in her little costume and she liked the attention she got. I have to admit I think she looked pretty darn cute. Mom and Dad both had fun showing her off. We had a fun time celebrating by going to our ward party. We enjoyed the hot dogs and hamburgers. After the party we didn't see the need to go trunk or treating or trick or treating so we went to the EAC volleyball game. I am so sad I didn't go to more games this year. It was so much fun to watch, it brought back a lot of memories. I miss volleyball. Good job EA though for winning the regional champions and good luck in Nationals!! Well here is our little Halloween Stinker!!!

I am a skunk!

Thanks Kade for letting me use your costume!

"cheese!"

See she's our lil' stinker!

Paiges little friend Lanie....cute girls huh?

We found another cute pumpkin friend when we went to the volleyball game. Paige loves her cousin Hailey and gets excited when she sees her.

Cute little outfit from Grandma that says," I love my mummy!"

Finally a new post!!

Ok everyone. We have been VERY bad at blogging lately so here is a quick update on whats been going on. We have been really busy and have just going, going, and going. I have posted 4 new posts of what we have been doing to give you an idea of why we have been busy.

Rocky Point

We went to Rocky Point with Garets family this past weekend. It was a lot of fun and the weather was beautiful. Here is a glimpse at what took place. I didn't do a good job at taking pictures so really this is only a portion of our fun! There was ALOT of card playing. I think the favorite this trip was California Speed.
Davis brought his skim boards for everyone to use. Garet had a fun time learning how to use it or had a fun time learning how to fall gracefully.
Paige had so much fun it was hard to get her to look up at the camera for a picture.
Here is her sweet smile we love. She wasn't smiling at me though. She was watching her cousins play.
She really thought they were funny.
Still Laughing
Paige and her cousin Kylee. She loved playing with all the cousins.

Dominoes Pizza in Mexico....I thought it was weird that Garet wanted to go to an American restaurant in Mexico. Garet went to Mexico on his mission and wanted to re-live the experience of one of his favorite restaurants. Dominoes in Mexico has a special sauce. I wasscared at first of the sauce but it was really good!!
Paige has SO much fun in the sand. I heard that often kids are scared of the texture of the sand but NOT Paige.
I just thought this was a cute picture! Paige liked high tide but I think she liked low tide the best b/c I let her do what she wanted.
