Finally a Post

Well sorry everyone. I have been really bad with blogging the last couple months. Its sad when you look at my last post and its of Halloween. This may be a long post. You can just skip past it if you may but I figured I would write down a few things about the last couple months for journal-ing purposes. We had a great time over the Holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Paige was more fun this year than last year with Christmas. She still hasn't grasped the whole concept but she was really excited about her Santa present so that made it fun. We spent Thanksgiving with Garets family here in Thatcher. All of his siblings were able to come. Christmas was spent in Sierra Vista with all my siblings, some Aunts and Uncles and my grandparents. We had a fun time with lots of gifts, family, and food! New Years was spent back in Thatcher with Garets family. During the holidays Paige and I also got to visit Grandma Lunts house in Duncan. We had a fun time reliving all my childhood memories of playing in the cottonseed, taking walks on the farm, playing in the hay, feeding the cows and going up and watching the be cows milk. It was lots of fun. Paige loved the animals and made funny faces when she saw them. After all the traveling and family visits, I think Paige was worn out. She loved playing with all the cousins.
Now that the Holidays are over I am having no problem staying bu
sy at home. I have a few projects I am working on and staying busy with Paige, oh and working one night a week. I have also been training for a 1/2 marathon. It still sounds crazy to me that I am going to do that. Its been a lot of fun though. The race is in 2 weeks. I am starting to get scared and trying not to talk myself out of it. I run hard 3x a week and do something light the other 3 days with resting on Sunday. I have tried to be consistent but that's always hard. So hopefully I do alright, and don't die. If I do it was nice knowing all of you!
Garet is keeping busy with work. He just enrolled us in a marriage institute class so HE can go play basketball in their little league and has now also started good ol church ball. He enjoys going to his neices and nephews basketball games. He even takes Paige by himself if I have to work and can't go with him. What a trouper!!!
At 14 months we finally got Paige into the Doctor for her 12 month check up. (now she is 15 months) and here are her stats:
Wt: 18.2 lbs 2%
Ht: 29.5 cm 34%
I always said I wanted a really fat chuby baby. Well Paige isn't that baby. And its actually been kinda fun having a small little girl.
Her favorite things are:
baby doll, baby stoller, purses, cell phone, her blanket (a new attachment in the last couple days. She wanted it when she was sick and now won't get out of bed in the morning or from naps without it!) her mom, making funny faces, pretending to cough, talking to herself and everyone else, ANYTHING outside. (yesterday she was following me to our house from Garets parents- not even 100 meters away, when I got home I realized she wasn't as closely behind me as I thought. Where did I find her you might ask? swimming/playing in the mud. It was all over. She was having a good time!)
New accomplishments:

-fold her arms and say amen when we pray
-listens to me when I tell her to do something and then ALWAYS cla
ps when she is done (example- taking something to the Garbage)
--words: Mommy, Daddy, shoe, amen, hi , dog ( i think thats it-am I a bad mom if I am not sure)

WEll I can't find my Camera so I can't upload any new pictures. Wish me luck on finding my camera. I have no idea where it is at. EEKS! Until then here are some pictures of the Holidays!

Paige and Santa; Don't let her face fool you here. She loved Santa and cried when her turn was over!

Sunday before Christmas. I bought Paige a new dress...I didn't know it until later, it was a dry clean only. Who does that for a 12 month old?

Paige and her stroller from Santa!

All the little Cousins with their matching Christmas PJ's

Paige playing in the cottonseed!

With the cousins at the dairy watching the cows get milked.

Paige and I "sledding" down the cottonseed- really fun, you should try it sometime!

With the cousins...going to feed the calves.

Paige "coloring" with her purse in the other hand :)

Yeah Amanda, it's about time you posted! jk Actually, I totally know how it is, life is just busy! Anyway, it was fun seeing you over the holidays AND when we crashed in on you. ;) Paige is such a doll, she's like the exact size Rylee was at that age! So funny, but it is kinda fun having a petite little girl. Plus, they can wear their clothes forever! :)

Thanks for the new post! I'm so impressed and inspired by your training to do a 1/2 marathon. Way to go!! You'll do awesome and you live to tell us all about it. I got a chuckle over Paige's weight...Beau is 6 months and 19 1/2 lbs. Petite little babies aren't in my genes thus far...

So fun, so fun, my friend.
I have to say, though, that my favorite part of the post was where you "signed off" just in case you didn't make it through the race.
Well, just in case, it was sure good knowing you, too. :)

You better make it through your Marathon or I'll kill you myself! :P I miss Paige so much. Be glad you don't have a big chubsters--my sister is babysitting one and my arms got so tired holding her. She's adorable, but I liked having a small baby! By the way, we were looking at the President's week for the visit now (maybe the weekend of the 13th). What do you think? Talk to Kiri and let me know so we can make some real plans.

Paige is so cute!! And you look fantastic, way to go with getting ready for the marathon! Good luck, and I'm sure it'll be super rewarding (Inga used to do marathons and loved the feeling afterward). I'm so amazed (and a little envious) of smaller babies, Franklin has always been a real chunk, and very solid, not so easy when he wants to be carried.

Hi Amanda you probably don't know me but my hubby and I went to high school with Garet. I found your blog on Nicole's. Good to see old friends, tell Garet we said hi. And i'm jealous of your little girls beautiful thick hair! My little boy was bald until he was 2 and my little girl had lots of hair when she was born but she's almost bald now. Sad!
