July

July 4th
The 4th of July is always one of my favorite times of the year. I love our country and have so much fun celebrating its birthday. This year it was a little different with the 4th falling on Sunday but we still had a good time. July 3rd is my brother Justins birthday so to start out the festivities for that week we had a bar b que and cake and ice cream.

Yummy food.... we had the works!!!
Paige looking so cute in her Americana clothes. Paige loves flags for some reason and loved wearing her "flag" shirt. I loved her headband my niece Brinlee made her.

Paige and Teagan dancing

My dad had a baby calf at the house he was having to bottle feed a couple times a day because the mother had died at the ranch. Paige and the other grandkids loved to help Grandpa feed the baby cow.

Sunday we went to church, had dinner as a family afterwards and then went and watched the fireworks from Spencers work. We really missed going to the park and watching them with the rest of Sierra Vista but the parking lot wasn't that bad either.

our family before going to fireworks

Paige in her "4th of July" dress-with a dirty face. :)

Paige wouldn't sit in the back of the truck with us because the noise was to loud for her. She enjoyed the show in the safety of Grandma's car on her lap.

Lunt Reunion
Every other year in July we get to go to the Lunt family reunion. (my mom's side of the family) I love this! I love the location and of course the company. The reunion is held in Brentwood. Its in the mountains near Alpine. The Duncan stake owns the camp. Its great though because we get to camp, and be out doors, yet when it rains there is a nice covering to keep us dry, and there are also bathrooms with flushing toilets and showers with hot running water. This year we went Thursday afternoon through Saturday. The weather was great and rained just a couple times while we were there. The turn out was great!

This is my Grandma and 7 of her 9 children with their spouses. ( Aunt Elaine, Uncle Kyle, Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Dale, Uncle Denise, Aunt Sandy, Uncle Glade, Aunt Carolyn, my mom and dad, Aunt Dorris, Uncle Larry, Grandma, & Aunt JanaWe got to go on lots and lots of Rhino Rides thanks to Spencer and Marlee. Maybe one day we'll own one. They are tons of fun, and you feel really safe also.
(Spencer, Garet, Marlee, Amanda, Kade and Paige)

Megan went on a bike ride and got a little wet. While out it started pouring on her!

Dad/Grandpa Haymore, Spencer and Garet, just getting back from a rhino ride.

Paige loved caring around her umbrella.

Family visiting under the Ramada

We drove out to these bluffs on the Rhino and found this beautiful view. This is looking down the cliffs. Isn't this beautiful with the rainbow across the back. It really was breathtaking!

Paige didn't get to enjoy the views...which I guess was better b/c then I didn't have to worry about her getting to close to the edge. She fell asleep on the ride there.

Paige loved being outside.

We went on horse rides: Marlee, Madi, Amanda, Paige

I love this picture of my parents. My dad loves riding horses, and loves it even more when he can talk my mom into going on one with him.

Hailey and Paige playing. There were so many kids there for Paige to play with!

Garet got to change a flat tire...wasn't the funnest thing we did but something that needed to be done and recorded. :)
The last night we were there we had a family home evening and played minute to win it. It was a blast. I loved the way they did it also. This is Garet. He represented the Steve Haymore family and did a good job!

After minute to win it we had a dance party. Paige only wanted to dance for a little while. (Paige, Amanda & Brooklyn)

Paige wanted to go sit on Grandpa's lamp instead of dancing

Uncle Larry even Got Grandma out to dance. I think she looks so cute in this picture!

Brooklyn, and Hallie

My beautiful sisters and mom- Megan, Me (Amanda), Mom, Allison, & Marlee

All the Great- Grandchildren that were there with Grandma Lunt

All the Grandkids that were there with their spouses. Grandma Lunt has 57 grandchildren. Pretty awesome huh....(that's not counting spouses)

Alpine
In July we got invited to go to Alpine with Garets sister Laura and her husband Johnny. Johnny's family has a nice cabin up there that we got to stay in. It was lots of fun! We hope to get invited again. :) We just went for a little weekend trip. I was worried the drive would be to long but it really was a nice little drive from Thatcher. I guess I have this thought in my mind that anytime you go to Alpine its far just because it was always that way when we drove from SV growing. (5-6hours) But when you have no stops it only took us about 2 1/2 to almost 3 hours. It was very nice and well worth it. Garets sister Renee met us up there. She had been visiting her daughter in Round Valley just over 30 minutes away so they all came to. Its always nice to escape the Arizona summer heat and go visit with family in the mountains. While there we of course ate amazing food,(food always taste better when you are up in the mountains) went on walks, played by the creek, went crawdad fishing, played games, did puzzles, stayed up late, visited relaxed, and ate lots of treats!

Katie, Brennen, Braxten, Paige

Kara, Ashley, Johnny, Brycen, Kyler...and then I was playing to but stopped to take a picture. I don't remember the name of this game but it was really fun!! I liked it because you had to think...it wasn't all luck and it was a faster pace game. Wish I remembered exactly how to play so I could play it again.

Renee relaxing, watching the kids

Sirloin burgers....with the works cheese dip with cheese, and veggies.

Tara (my neices sister inlaw), Laura, and Renee. On our way to the creek.

I couldn't get Paige to stop and look at a picture. She was to busy throwing rocks into the water.

Jacob fishing; Jared, Ashley and hunter unloading their catch; Garet watching

Paige looking proudly in the net at what the older kids caught...like she caught them all herself.

Had to add a picture of my handsome husband!!!

Paige and I trying to fish...Paige lost patients.

This & That
Theses are just some funny random pictures that I couldn't leave out.

Paige and Brennen playing primary songs on the piano. Paige loves to play the piano and sing her primary songs. Hopefully this will continue to when she's older and she actually takes piano lessons. I'm sure you all can imagine how beautiful her music is right now.

Paige playing in the back yard. I was busy doing something out there when she decided she wanted to play with the water & hose. She wanted to get in her swim suite but I must of been to slow for her because before I new it she was running around like this....so cute!

June

Sadly because this was over 6 months ago I don't remember anything really about this past Fathers Day. I do remember though the breakfast in bed Paige and I made Garet. And that I got Paige this shirt to wear on Fathers Day that said, " Daddies little Princess" That is truly what she is though. I am so thankful for Garet and for the wonderful Father he is to Paige. Paige loves her daddy and loves doing things with him. When Garet leaves to work she makes sure he doesn't leave without giving her a kiss and then she always says, " Be good, have a good day. I love you." Its so cute! She loves loves when he comes home from work. These two have a special relationship. I am grateful for the time they get to spend alone when I go to work. Paige loves spending time with dad. In fact a couple months ago she asked me, "Mom are you going to work tonight? I said no, and then she said, " ah man, I wanted it to be just me and dad." at first I was a little sad at this comment but then decided to be grateful that she loves her daddy so much! Thanks Garet for being a wonderful dad!

Summer Cool Down

This past summer we spent a lot of time outside. I found this pool in our storage room that I forgotten I had bought from the previous year. Paige loved it. It was not an unusual morning for us to eat breakfast and then have her swim all morning in her pool while I tried to do things outside in the yard. Its a great thing to have in Arizona.I also decided it was a necessity to put Paige in swimming lessons. I am a firm believer that every person needs to learn how to swim....(my mom is even learning at her age- she would be really embarrassed if she new I put that on here. hehehe...I'm so proud of her...:) Paige's class was really small it was only her and her cousin. She loved taking lessons with her cousin Katie. Paige did not do so well at first. She hated the water. To her defense..it was freezing. I even got in with her a few times and I didn't like it. After a couple sessions...and going at a later time (warmer water) Paige did get the hang of it and did a good job. I also had to use bribery. We did candy at first then worked our way to a mermaid doll. I told her if she could learn to swim and be big like Ariel then she could have one. It worked!!! I can't say I trust my 3 year old around water now...its actually quite the opposite now. I had to end up watching her even closer because she couldn't swim good enough to necessarily save her life but...she got familiar enough with the water that she wasn't scared of it anymore. We will definently do swimming lessons again this summer....well worth the money!
We also spent a lot of time at the Safford pool. This is a great pool for children of all ages! I especially liked to go with Paige around lunch time. She was free, I had to pay for myself and then she got a free lunch. Paige loved it! I also spent time there training for my triathlon I did in July. I talked my sister inlaw Renee to do the mini triathlon. So in training I would watch the kids while she swam laps and then she would watch the kids while I did. We also liked to do the family evening swim. This was when Dad got to come with us....and a lot of the cousins. This picture below is of us eating a picnic subway dinner in the backyard after swimming all evening. The John cousin's were here for a week so they got to go with us!
